Registry of CLH Intentions: Process and Participation

The Registry of Classification and Labelling (CLH) Intentions lists proposals submitted to ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) for the harmonized classification and labeling of substances. These proposals may come from Member States, manufacturers, importers, or downstream users. Stakeholders can track the progress of a proposal through the CLH process, from its notification to the adoption of an opinion by the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC).
Interested parties are encouraged to submit relevant information about a substance’s identity or hazards during the early stages of the process, or at the latest, during the consultation phase. Once RAC adopts an opinion, the status of the substance is updated to ‘Opinion Adopted’. A Corrigenda document lists the classifications of reviewed substances.
